If you were to do an internet search on "Netherlands" for example, you
would probably get hundreds of thousands of hits. To narrow that down by
trying "Netherlands+bike", you would not reduce the number of hits by all
that much. That is to say that Netherlands and bikes are synonymous. So,
many of the links below, though I have tried to organize them, will still
have much overlap when it come to general tourist information, places to
stay, weather and, of course, cycling. And most, if not all, of the sites
will have links to other sites, so you can keep going, and going, and...

has lots of tourist and visitor information.

Planet is an excellent source for general information.

Travel is a great starting point, with lots of links to other sites.

travel information.

page, where you can find information on Amsterdam.
- The Homepage
Amsterdam site proclaims itself to be a cannabis-related site, but
does have some good general information.
- The www.qqq.com/holland
site is very good for information on Holland.
- Also a good site to look at: The Rough
Guides - type in a city in the Netherlands to learn more about its
history, or places to stay, etc.
- The Trip has
a searchable data base with information on cities in The Netherlands.
- Information on Amsterdam
can be found at the Hotel Prinsenhof site.
- Try Eurotrip.com
, "Your Backpackin' Europe Site".
- Also, don't pass up Rick
Steves' site for all sorts of practical info on traveling in Europe.
- The Total
Guide to Holland provides a lot of different information on Holland.
Climate charts, passport info, etc. can be found at the World

Places to Stay
- The Dutch
Youth Hostel Association site will give info on hostels all across
the country.
- More good information on hostels, camping, etc. can be found at the
Amsterdam Web site.
- The place we stayed while in Amsterdam, the Vondel
Park Hostel, is a good choice, and the place we tried to stay, the
Flying Pig In Amsterdam,
is also supposed to be good.

- Holland are good sites, with lots of hotel info.
- The Holiday Guide
offers info a booklet on hostels in Holland, but not worth the price,
IMHO.
